Programs list List

Frogs
The Frogs is a half-day program, twice per week, for our youngest explorers. Many will be away from home and without a parent for the first time. They will develop independence, empathy, self-confidence, and emotional regulation, and build strength, balance and coordination from all of the outdoor play.

Dragonflies
The Dragonflies are 4 to 6 yr olds who meet once a week for a 7 hr day of adventure and fun. Everyone needs the stamina to keep up, without needing an afternoon nap. Dragonflies should be able to get dressed and undressed mostly on their own, with only a bit of help with the trickiest bits.

Foxes
For more mature or experienced Dragonflies or young Coyotes who still enjoy the imaginative games of the younger kids. Younger children need the stamina to keep up with their older classmates. Children develop self-confidence, and skills for leadership, problem-solving, conflict resolution and risk assessment.

Coyotes
Coyotes are school-aged kids who, through exploration and play, get to get to apply and deepen their understanding from regular school. Coyotes must be able to dress and undress from their outdoor clothing independently, look after their own belongings, and follow group rules and expectations.

HomeSquirrels
The HomeSquirrels is an outdoor playgroup for homeschooling (and homeschooling-curious) families with children aged 5 years and up. A forest school educator will lead weekly meet-ups that may include free play, the safe use of tools, nature skills and crafts, identification of plants and animals, and storytelling and songs.

Owls
The Owls program offers a forest school experience adapted to the unique ways of neurodivergent children with autism or an intellectual disability. They enjoy being outside, they are curious, and of course they love to play! Owls will learn, grow and connect with each other and the natural world around them.
